Think and Grow Rich: The Thirteen Steps Toward Riches

Filed under: General, Home Business — Laura @ 8:22 pm

My partner works in the network marketing industry. He started his own home business some months ago. The company he joined was involved in selling personal development products. I was as cynical as I could be without wanting to bash his obvious eagerness. I simply wasn’t a convert of the self-help, self-awareness genre.

When he bought me a copy of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich for Christmas I was a little taken aback: chocolates would have been fine. I tried to read it but – I realized afterwards – I simply wasn’t in the “Think and Grow Rich” mindset.

A few years later I happened across the book again by chance. I checked the contents page for anything interesting and I noted that I’d reached chapter three on my last attempt. A might achievement. What really caught my eye, though, was Chapter 11: “The Mystery of Sex Transmutation: The Tenth Step Towards Riches”. How had I missed an entire chapter on sex? This was a masterfully written chapter and I sat and read Think and Grow Rich over two days. My Think and Grow Rich mindset had quickly developed. What a book!
