Think and Grow Rich: The Thirteen Steps Toward Riches
My partner works in the network marketing industry. He started his own home business some months ago. The company he joined was involved in selling personal development products. I was as cynical as I could be without wanting to bash his obvious eagerness. I simply wasn’t a convert of the self-help, self-awareness genre.
When he bought me a copy of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich for Christmas I was a little taken aback: chocolates would have been fine. I tried to read it but – I realized afterwards – I simply wasn’t in the “Think and Grow Rich” mindset.
A few years later I happened across the book again by chance. I checked the contents page for anything interesting and I noted that I’d reached chapter three on my last attempt. A might achievement. What really caught my eye, though, was Chapter 11: “The Mystery of Sex Transmutation: The Tenth Step Towards Riches”. How had I missed an entire chapter on sex? This was a masterfully written chapter and I sat and read Think and Grow Rich over two days. My Think and Grow Rich mindset had quickly developed. What a book!
