The DataHand Assistive/Ergonomic Keyboard incorporates a new technology with a brilliant new design to provide ultimate comfort for the injured. The DataHand uses patented magnetic switches, which give you an extremely light touch. Remember what it was like to switch from a manual typewriter to the IBM Selectic? The DataHand's light touch is that dramatic!
Just as dramatic is the design of the key layout. Without losing the QWERTY layout, your fingers lay into five way switches. The idea is that your fingers never leave the home row (a,s,d,f and j,k,l,;), even when you operate the built in mouse. In fact, the maximum distance your fingers move to activate a key is less than one half an inch!!! Also, because of the layout, the repetitive motions to strike keys are eliminated with shorter pushes, pulls, and pressing down motions.
